About the Program

The B.Tech in Drone Engineering with Artificial Intelligence (UAV & Defence Systems) is a four-year, full-time, residential programme that equips students to design, build, certify, and fly real unmanned aerial vehicles for defence, civil aviation, agriculture, logistics and surveying applications. The curriculum integrates aerospace fundamentals, embedded avionics, AI/ML for autonomy, and live UAV build-and-test cycles delivered through the on-campus drone laboratory. Graduates earn a UGC-recognised B.Tech degree and a DGCA Remote Pilot Certificate, ready to join India’s fast-growing drone industry or pursue advanced research in aerospace and autonomous systems.

A CSE and AI Degree, Specialised

This is a four-year B.Tech in Computer Science and AI. Every student first becomes a strong software and AI engineer, coding from day one, building full-stack applications, training machine-learning models and working with deep learning and LLMs. That core is then applied to a live specialisation in drones and defence systems. Graduates hold a full CSE and AI degree, so they qualify for the same mainstream software, AI and data roles as any top CSE programme, with an applied deeptech edge most CSE graduates do not have.

Software and AI Engineer First

The programme is built on one principle: become a software and AI engineer first, then specialise. Years 1 and 2 are a full Computer Science and AI foundation: programming, data structures, algorithms, databases, operating systems, computer networks, machine learning, deep learning and generative AI. Only from Year 3 do students apply this core to drones. The result is a full-stack software and AI engineer with a hardware specialisation, not a narrow domain technician.
